Aussie Author Month 2012
April is Aussie Author Month. The aim is to feature bestselling and upcoming Australian authors and get readers, bloggers and booksellers to highlight their favourite Australian books.
You can check out all the Twitter activity around Aussie Author Month by following the hashtag #ausbooks
Part of Aussie Author Month will also be to promote donations to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. The ILF is a charity whose aim is to raise literacy levels among Indigenous Australians in rural and remote communities. The ILF works in partnership with the Australian Book Industry. You can donate to ILF here.
There a some fantastic Australian books out at the moment. Two new releases for April that you must check out are the devastatingly amazing FLOUNDERING by Romy Ash and the shockingly addictive PROMISE by Tony Cavanaugh. And from March the funny and moving THE FINE COLOUR OF RUST by P.A. O’Reilly.
